Hello Millennials,
In the past couple of months, I have noticed my style mature, it has gotten smarter and relatively straightforward. It has evolved to a stage i would rather wear something that makes sense to me comfort-wise than look nice. Don’t get me wrong, the appearance of an outfit is so important, but it no longer surpasses comfort.
I am a self-proclaimed lazy human being, and I had to find a way to integrate lazy-style in my day-to-day life. I love transitional pieces. Pieces that you can wear across the seasons, from day to night and moderate them from stylish to casual.
In today’s blog post I will show you two versatile looks with the same pair of culottes, that you can take from desk to dinner, from summer to winter! So without any further ado, lets jump right into it…
I love me a good pair of silk culottes. What are Culottes, some may ask, well, its a knee-length trouser, cut with full legs to resemble a skirt, and everything synonymous to comfort clothing! Here, I am wearing a pair of pleated Culottes “small ivory basket weave print” by Keepsake The Label. Paired with its matching print crop top also by Keepsake.
This is an outfit I would wear to a formal work dinner, a sombre farewell party or even to work. What pulls the outfit together is the sleeveless long knitted coat from Saba. The long coat gives this casual outfit an formal, chic air.
I paired it with my demure, nude pumps by Wittner. The neutral colour of the shoe keeps the focus on the outfit. To add a pop of colour to this whole outfit I styled it with my much loved vintage rust coloured Louis Vuitton tote bag. I have no idea what the make of the bag is therefore it would be very difficult to link the same below. But, if you know the details of the bag, dear viewer, link it down below in the comments section for the benefit of others.
In the second outfit, I am paired a high neck, black bodysuit by Bardot with the culottes. I have noticed that bodysuits work like a dream with culottes- hence my perfect choice for winter (just throw on a bright oversized coat for that “Carrie Bradshaw” effect).
Finally I finished off the look with a gold cuff bracelet by Country Road and some semi glazed black Ray-Bans.
I really hope you enjoyed today’s feature and as always I apologise for the delay.
