Winter Made Colourful

Hello Everyone !

Winters made colourful and formals made flamboyant ! Winter mornings for work are the most bleak and all you see is a swarm of blacks and greys trying to get to their destinations, devoid of any colour. To be honest and by large, I am a veritable part of that swarm. If not all the time, it is generally most of the time. Formidable looking grey skies and waits amid biting winter winds at the traffic lights do not invite colour in your workwear of even the likes of it. But I decided to bring back some colour in my workwear palette today. 

This season I decided to play with the dark undertones and make it workwear appropriate and showcase the strong, independent and ebullient business woman you are. And remember to modify, add, delete and take inspiration from this look and make it your own, because creativity is the stylish key! 

So today for work I wore my Micheal Kors Top and Skirt set. What makes the top so classy and chic is the pussy bow detailing. And pretty much off late, I have fallen head over heels in love with shirts with pussy bows and completely see why this trend is at its peak at the moment ! I styled it with a sleek black blazer with satin lapels and a slight hint of shoulder pads for the “girl boss” factor from Bardot.

Keeping the accessories neutral and clean , I am wearing my Marc Jacobs sunglasses and my regular structured tote for work from Ted Baker.  

Also coz its freezing, I decided to wear my patterned, opaque, black lights with my bright red stilettos for a pop of colour with the otherwise neutral outfit by Jagger. 

I would generally layer this outfit with a my staple black or grey overcoat and be good to go. 

I hope you enjoyed this workwear winter feature just as much as I loved creating this content. All its needed to feel good and be good at what you do is to make your presence felt in a corporate/business environment. Power dress, power feel – power to all you girl bosses out there !
