Happy 2019 everyone ! š„
Just yesterday I was talking to a friend, telling her of the vivid memories I have of 2015 and now its 2019! What happened? Did we fast forward a few years? Regardless, 2018 however swift, has been a tremendous year in my life personally, financially and spiritually.
It gave me so many reasons to celebrate, taught me to to be the best version of myself and be grateful for every contour, colour, mark, curves and dents of my body . Comfort, is something I developed a deeper friendship with – fashion wise. I was one of those people who followed trends closely and dress whats “on season” – but I later realised I am such a rebel I would end end up wearing what I felt comfortable in anyways, trendy or not.
Therefore I am kickstarting this year with a very special outfit, with a laid back style thats comfortable, and breezy, basically a smooth transition between glamorous and streetwear. It is absolutely no surprise that I looove jumpsuits, doesn’t matter its on trend or not, and I love layering jumpsuits with contrasting and dramatic tops, the theatrical the sleeves the better. Once a while everyone needs to be a little extra, no occasion needed – or in my case, I went shopping and brunch and my sleeves did the talking š
I love a good one shoulder jumpsuit, this one by Kookai isĀ flatteringĀ andĀ extremelyĀ comfortable. This is such a statement making Jumpsuit and has a classic straight leg and comes in at the waist.Ā BecauseĀ IĀ amĀ fairlyĀ petiteĀ thisĀ jumpsuitĀ forĀ once,Ā didĀ notĀ requireĀ meĀ toĀ hemĀ atĀ theĀ bottom.
Now coming back to the dramatic sleeves, I love this one by The East Order. As I said its a little extra, but then why not? To pair a beautiful fitted crop top with deep V neckline that doesn’t take away the charm of the one shoulder jumpsuit with stark smocking details along sleeve and waist was just the perfect choice!
Accessories : Hoop earrings, chunky rings and a classic Gucci Bag or any bag that does not clash with the outfit.
