Hola Amigos ! Welcome back to another blog feature this lovely Sunday afternoon!

I came across an interesting fact with regards to the evolution of Jumpsuits in fashion – The first Jumpsuit was invented in 1919 by Florentine Thayat and it was launched as a subversive and liberating garment meant for the Futuristic period. The first jumpsuit was cut from one piece of cotton or African canvas (Source: Vogue)

Now, fast forward to the future today in 2016- Jumpsuits are everywhere. Be it the silk fabrics for Alexander Wang; python-print or sunny yellow models by Paul & Joe. Whatever your tastes might be- sophisticated, contemporary or romantic, there is a jumpsuit for every flavour and every mood.

Today I chose to dress in my favourite silk green jumpsuit by Shakuhachi that features a lustrous silk crepe design with a relaxed wide leg and shoulder ties to define the waist.

To make it a little more special and take that off shoulder/cold shoulder trend to the next level , I decided to wear an off shoulder crop top by Bardot underneath the jumpsuit. It just added a pinch of glam to the already existing nuance of the jumpsuit thanks to its eccentric gathered sleeve detail.

I matched up my green jumpsuit with my green Aviators, that transitions colours according to the sunlight (a pretty cool feature) from Moot.

Note the transition of the sunglasses to blue 😉

I also dressed up the jumpsuit with my black windsor smith peep toes and my handy Calvin Klein,  Staffiano Tote.

For accessories, i kept it minimal with my usual gold band from Monica Vinader and other statement rings Lovisa.

The most interesting aspect of the whole outfit has to be the back details. Note details in the next photo.
